About Us
 Hey yall! My name is Tamara Menges, I am the owner of Whimsical Creations by Tamara, and I absolutely love planning and decorating for parties! I've been known to buy and print invitations just to have a few friends come over! I have had many people pushing me to start my own business for a long time now, so Im trying to push aside my fears and jump into the business world!! I am married to my high school sweetheart and best friend, Kason. He is without a doubt my biggest fan, and supports me through everything I want to do. He is also my company's CFO. He is insanely patient with me, follows me all over Hobby Lobby,etc whenever I need to get a "few" things, and smiles when I ask him to help with anything! We are both from Longview, Texas, but now live in Groves, Texas (which is close to Beaumont) where we own our first home!
Another big supporter is my mom Elizabeth. She owned her own floral business and worked with my grandma in her floral shop, while I was growing up, so I learned a lot of what I know just from watching them.
Another incredibly influential person in my life, was my dad. He was an amazing carpenter and could build a house from the ground up! He passed away when 14, but he is without a doubt with me everyday! I find myself trying to figure out how to build all kinds of different things to use in my decor designs! I flash back to my childhood, when he would give me my own hammer, a box of nails and some wood, precious memories of how he would help me figure out how to build just the simplest box!
I plan on returning to school and finishing my degree in Interior Design, and I believe that will only help fine tune my skills. I am so excited about where I want my business to go in the next few years!
